In September, I had the chance to wander through the cobblestone streets of Prague — a city that’s not only steeped in history but also brimming with artistic inspiration. When I travel, I make it a point to keep my itinerary packed with experiences. Sure, it can be overwhelming, but there’s never too much for a hungry art lover like me.
When you’re on vacation, your brain absorbs everything in a different way. It’s like the world becomes sharper, more vivid. Personally, I’m all about immersing myself in the local art scene — galleries, museums, exhibitions, performances, you name it. Oh, and let’s not forget the 20,000 steps a day and sampling new food!
If you’ve been to Prague, you know that the Old Town Square (Staroměstské náměstí) has a special kind of charm. The area still exudes that timeless, “I could live here forever” vibe, which for me, also means a sense of artistic homecoming. Among the gems of this district is the Stone Bell House — a must-visit spot for art enthusiasts.
This historic building, nestled at Staroměstské nám. 605/13, 110 00 Staré Město, Czechia, is a hub for contemporary art exhibitions, and it’s absolutely worth checking out while you’re in the city. You can visit their website to see what’s on during your stay.
The Magic of Bruce Weber’s “My Education” Exhibition
During my visit to the Stone Bell House, I spent a perfect afternoon exploring Bruce Weber’s “My Education”, a retrospective that takes you on a five-decade journey through the legendary photographer’s work. Spanning over 400 photos, this exhibit covers everything from documentary and fashion photography to music, film, nature, animals, portraits, landscapes, and some nudes.

It’s a visual feast that stretches across multiple genres, each one capturing a different side of life.

Set in the stunning gothic surroundings of the Bell Tower, the exhibition is spread across two levels of the gallery, creating an immersive experience that draws you into Weber’s world.

Each photograph feels like a story, and the space itself, with its ancient arches and intricate details, makes the whole experience feel timeless.

Whether you’re an art aficionado or just someone who loves to take in the vibes of a new place, the Stone Bell House offers an unforgettable slice of Prague’s creative energy. If you’re lucky enough to be in Prague, make sure you carve out time for this gem of an exhibition. You won’t regret it.
